Land Agent to join their Central District Estate . This is an opportunity to join the team responsible for England's national forests and landscapes and make a meaningful contribution to people, nature and the climate

. Working alongside

experienced land and property professionals, you'll help manage a unique and diverse rural estate while supporting the sustainable future of England's forests.


ABOUT FORESTRY ENGLAND •

Forestry England is the country's largest land management organisation.

•

Manages forests that support recreation, biodiversity, timber production and conservation.

•

Delivers environmental, social and economic value across the nation.

•

Operates a diverse estate including woodlands, farms, commercial properties and leisure facilities.

•

Committed to protecting and enhancing natural assets for future generations


• Based in Nottinghamshire and covering a substantial area from Merseyside to Lincolnshire and Greater Manchester to Northamptonshire.

THE CENTRAL DISTRICT ESTATE

• Includes ancient woodland, productive forests and community woodlands. • Manages approximately 100 buildings within the estate. • Supports a wide range of forestry, recreation and commercial activities. • Provides exposure to an exceptionally varied property portfolio.


THE OPPORTUNITY • A broad and varied surveying role with significant responsibility. • Work closely with experienced Area Land Agents and surveying professionals. • Support operational forestry and recreation teams across the district • Influence estate decisions that support long -term sustainability and growth. • Gain exposure to commercial, residential, agricultural and recreational property matters.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES •

Manage landlord and tenant relationships across a mixed -use estate.

•

Negotiate leases, renewals, rent reviews and new agreements.

•

Support recreation developments and commercial opportunities

•

Manage wayleaves, utility agreements and access rights matters.

•

Provide professional property advice across the organisation.


SPECIALIST PROJECT WORK • Assist with major development and investment projects. • Undertake or support RICS Red Book valuations.

• Contribute to strategic asset management planning • Work on complex estate matters including boundaries and encroachments. • Help protect and enhance Forestry England's property interests


FUTURE -FOCUSED LAND MANAGEMENT • Contribute to Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) initiatives. • Support renewable energy projects across the estate • Develop experience in emerging environmental markets. • Help balance commercial objectives with conservation priorities • Play a role in shaping sustainable land use for the future.


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR • Experience managing mixed -use property portfolios • Strong landlord and tenant management expertise. • Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship -building skills.

• Ability to solve complex property and estate management challenges. • MRICS, AssocRICS or progressing towards APC qualification.


• Salary from £40,388 plus Civil Service benefits.
