PART OF THE COMMUNITY COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT AND OUR EMPLOYEES For over 100 years, Brett has embraced its corporate and social responsibilities to customers, employees, the community and to the environment. We have a long track record of being engaged with the communities in which we operate. As well as establishing liaison groups we actively sponsor local events and initiatives and engage with education programmes in local schools on topic such as quarry safety. We have long standing partnerships in a number of locations with landowners such as The Crown Estate and local wildlife and residents groups, County Wildlife Trusts, the RSPB and a number of other charities and similar organisations. To mark 110 years over 200 local charities were supported with over 200 days of employee volunteering and £25,000 given in donations for ongoing support.
Our people Brett people are what sets us apart from the rest, we believe in delivering on our promises and we work hard to ensure this is true. Many members of the Brett team have been with the business for over a decade from families where several generations have worked for Brett. We have employee forums across the business and hold regular employee opinion surveys. We also believe in investing in the long-term futures of young employees, operating successful Graduate and Apprenticeship schemes.
