Somemonthsagowesatdownwithtwoof our amazing partners, IMO and One Voice to plan a ‘modest’ event to celebrate Eid. Perhapswegotabitgiddybutwithinafew hourswehadbuiltaneventdrawingonall ofourcollectiveexperience.

Saturday dawned and as we readied ourselvesforatrickleofyoungpeopleand their families, the trickle became a flood! We painted faces, bounced, climbed, crafted, made stuff, painted stuff, sang, danced, chilled, ate and ate some more. By 5pm we had welcomed over 1,000 visitors to our Blackburn Jubilee Street centre. As the last young person left looking like Leo the Lion and holding a masterpiecetobepostedonhisfridgeour teamsheavedahugesighofrelief.
