BDS will implement the new standard in cataloguing rules, Resource Description & Access (RDA) in January 2013. This is part of a coordinated UK implementation led by the British Library, which in turn is part of an international partnership with the Library of Congress and other national agencies implementing the new rules. Designed for the digital world and an expanding body of metadata users, RDA is a unified cataloguing standard.
