at Infinity: Barbarians 28 – 57 Aspen
Temperatures were in the mid-80s with a breeze for the early afternoon kickoff of Denver Barbarians and Aspen Gents on the StoveTop. After 80 minutes of heated exchange, the Gentlemen are the new leader in the extremely contentious MD2 after well-earned victory over Barbarians on the RugbyDay. Home side were always catching up in the first forty as their guests led 7-0 early, and tallies went to 7-7, then 14-7, 14-14, 19-14, and finally hosts took the lead with a try at time in the 41st and its conversion to take a 21-19 lead to the sheds. Aspen were clinical in the second stanza, spreading the Denver defense wide for ground gain, then finishing off battering phases of p-n-gs for groundings and an impressive, five-point, away win at 5728.
