Weekend Wrap: 10.21.24

Men’s Division 2

Results: at Infinity: WaterDogs 66 - 5 Boulder at Rio Grande: Aspen 39-38 Barbarians

Aspen Gents sit yet at the front of the talented Men’s Division 2 table after edging Barbarians, while WaterDogs have replaced the Men in Green at the runnersup slot after bonus-point victory over Boulder. The order at Rocky Mountain Men’s top table, however, is by no means set:

Okay, Aspen, currently on 25 table points (tps), are more than likely to add a fiver on the upcomer as their hosts, Boulder, are off-form this season and have yielded the EXCELSIOR

WaterDogs v Boulder on the StoveTop at Infinity - h. Richard

bonus point in all matches thus far. So, Aspen’ll be at 30 tps (which should be sufficient to them obtaining either a number 1 or 2 seed), but looking to the weekend beyond next, the Gents will finish at Infinity November 2 against WaterDogs, who have not lost a match since falling to Aspen by seven at Wagner mid-September, so one must think that’s a tossup It is critical for WaterDogs to maintain that win streak if they are to secure a playoff berth as

Haggis, who’re presently in fourth though with a match in hand the frontrunners, will entertain: Barbarians (10.26) Boulder (11.2) and WaterDogs (11.9) in that order at home on their Park City redoubt, where a loss for the Scots Finest Fare is infrequent

Barbarians are now in third place and they must win out to make the 1-2 playoffs, ideally with a brace of bonuspoint wins; tough ask as they’re at Haggis’ stronghold on the upcomer, but should they come away in victory from Utah, they could very well manage 27 or 28 points total for the league, and might just slide into a 1-2 spot.

Men’s D3

Scots v Barbarians at Glendale - h. Richard

Results: at Infinity: Scots 46 - 17 Barbarians at Infinity: Rams 57 - 35 Grizzlies at The Jake: Highlanders 66 – 7 Harlequins

Queen City Rams remain at the head of the class after the fivepoint win over Colorado Springs Grizzlies on the RugbyDay, while Denver Highlanders kept pace with those scholars after a bonus-point victory of their own past Denver Harlequins, and Littleton Scots got the best of Denver Barbarians D3 squad. It is looking like the rep from Rocky Mountains Men’s D3 will be either Rams or Highlanders with Queen City currently holding a 2-table points edge though Highlanders have a match in hand and could come into the lead next weekend with a happy ending over guests, Barbos, on that day.
