Men’s D3

And the Division 3 battle of undefeateds, Queen City and Denver Highlanders, was EPIC with a capital PIC: 4 lead changes, coupla yellers, and an old-fashioned brouhaha that included sideliners. Highlanders were up 7-nil early, then Rams put two converted onboard (14-7 then), and after Denver responded with of a brace of touch downs, one converted, Highlanders went to the sheds at the break in front by a handful, 19-14

In the second stanza, it was a Queen City melody through the hour mark as Rams grounded three times all converted, for a hefty 35-19 lead by the 65th , but Highlanders showed a remarkable resilience and returned for a trio of their own trys, each and every with the additional deuce, for a final outcome of 40 –35 to Highlanders at the field magistrate’s last blast. Queen City, however, remain in first place as Highlanders have a match in hand the leaders right now.

Littleton Scots got the big win over Denver Harlequins, and Colorado Springs Grizzlies blanked Northern Colorado Flamingos

Results on the Weekend:

Highlanders 40 – 35 Rams

Scots 83 – 5 Harlequins
