Bayshore Christian School is an accredited, independent, non-denominational Christian School in South Tampa, Florida near Bayshore Blvd.
At Bayshore, we serve students from 2 years old through 12th grade from all over the Tampa Bay area and have been doing so since 1971. Our campus on South MacDill Avenue is conveniently located just off the Selmon Expressway
But here’s what you really want to know…
When we surveyed our families recently, there were 3 things that they loved most about coming to Bayshore Christian School (BCS):
3.AcademicExcellence
Motto
“We are Bayshore: Scholars, Leaders, Faith Warriors”
Vision
Shaping young people in Christ to make an impact in the world.
Mission
Bayshore Christian School challenges, develops, and empowers students for leadership by following the example of Jesus to “grow in wisdom, stature, and in favor with God and man.” Luke 2:52
The Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith. The Bible itself is the sole and final source of all that we believe. We do believe, however, that the Statement of Faith accurately represents the teachings of the Bible and therefore, is binding upon all teachers.
We believe in God, the creator of heaven and earth.
We believe God created male and female in His image.
We believe God consecrated marriage as the union of a man and a woman.
We believe in the trinity: God the Father Almighty, Jesus Christ, his only Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus is Lord; that he is divine, that he is God.
We believe that Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus was born of a virgin.
We believe that Jesus atoned for the sins of all mankind when he was crucified.
We believe that Jesus died and was buried.
We believe that Jesus was resurrected from death and is alive today.
We believe that Jesus sits at the right hand of the God the Father Almighty.
We believe that Jesus will return to this earth to judge all mankind.
We believe in everlasting life.
We believe in the Bible as the inspired word of God, inerrant and true.
Teaching and demonstrating faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and in the infallible Word of God (Hebrews 11:1-3)
Exhibiting moral and ethical strength of character (Titus 2:7-8)
Providing an educational program that demands academic excellence and prepares students for success in life (Philippians 1:9-11)
Serving with care and compassion for others in the local and global community (1 Peter 3:8)
Cultivating a partnership between families and school to benefit the development and growth of each student (Proverbs 22:6)
Proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all the world as faithful disciples (Matthew 28:18-20)
At Bayshore Christian School, we are proud to cultivate graduates who are prepared to lead with intellect, integrity, and purpose. Each student is uniquely nurtured to grow academically, spiritually, and personally. Sharlinn our 2025 Salutatorian, exemplifies the heart of a Bayshore education.
Sharlinn graduated with a 6.44 GPA and an impressive 36 high school credits, including 27 college credit hours through dual enrollment and 6 additional hours earned from AP exam scores. Her academic journey reflects the rigor and opportunity embedded in our curriculum. Inspired by her time as a first-grade teacher’s assistant, Sharlinn will attend Lee University to study Elementary Education, continuing the cycle of inspired learning.
Sharlinn served as Vice President of the National Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, and Spanish Club She was also a member of the National English Honor Society and Student Government As the American Legion Student of the Year, Sharlinn was recognized for her courage, leadership, and service. As a Varsity Cheerleader, Sharlinn led with enthusiasm and dedication. She will continue cheering at Lee University-an example of how Bayshore encourages students to pursue their passions both in and out of the classroom.
With over 148 hours of community service, Sharlinn exemplifies what it means to serve others in Christ’s love. A member of the Upper Division Mission Team and known for her kind, inclusive spirit, she is a true Faith Warrior.
Sharlinn’s journey reflects a life of calling, service, and strength. As her mentor shared, “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion ” (Philippians 1:6)
At Bayshore, students don’t just graduate-they launch with purpose
“Bayshore Christian School provided me with an environment where I was able to grow both academically and spiritually. The foundation I received here has not only prepared me for the challenges of college but has given me a strong sense of purpose and direction. I feel confident and equipped to step into this next season of life, and I’m deeply grateful for the community that helped shape who I am today.” -Sharlinn

The earliest years of a child’s education are the foundation for their future in school, and we consider it a privilege to be a part of each of our student’s journey. In a loving and nurturing environment, we create a safe learning atmosphere for preschool students. We infuse Biblical principles into our academic curriculum and model Christian values for our youngest learners. As our p i academic foundation, they also develop spiritually, aily interaction with peers.

Students learn that the Lord loves each of them, and we promote an appreciation for His Word through daily Bible lessons.
Our curriculum is enriched with instruction in art and music, trips to our school library, and fun weekly chapel services specifically designed for preschoolers.

We believe your child is created with individual, God-given talents and abilities, and we are privileged to help your child thrive using those gifts. We want our students to have a passion for life-long learning. Our elementary teachers are highly trained and credentialed educators who hold certificates through the Florida Department of Education. Each teacher is committed to practicing Christian values in and outside the classroom and helping your child grow in all areas of his life.
We value hands-on learning and strive to teach using techniques that will allow students to become problem solvers.
We focus on essential core knowledge: reading, writing, grammar, spelling, math, science, social studies, and Bible.
We enhance classroom academics with out-of-the-classroom experiences at places like The Florida Aquarium, Zoo Tampa, Busch Gardens Zoo School, JA Biztown and many more.
We offer weekly enrichment classes in S.T.E.A.M, physical education, vocal and instrumental music, visual arts, library, and Spanish.

Please Note: AP classes have an additional weight of 1 0 added to the semester GPA (not per nine weeks) for a grade of “C” or above. Students taking an Ap class are required to take the AP final exam. If a student does not take the AP exam, the student forfeits the AP class credit.
Each year specific dual enrollment courses are taught on the BCS campus through Hillsborough Community College, allowing qualified students to complete college courses during their junior and senior years. These courses are given an additional weight of 1.0 and are subject to HCC admission requirements. The student also receives college credit, as well as high school credit for these courses.
Students who participate in Dual Enrollment are committed throughout both semesters of the school year. When two Dual Enrollment courses are offered per semester, the BCS student must take both HCC classes through BCS.
Dual Enrollment classes are not to be taken in place of BCS classes. Dual Enrollment is a privilege at BCS.
Please Note: HCC classes become an official document on the student’s BCS and college transcript.

We know that Christian values are important to families. You want the values you teach at home honesty, faith, kindness to be echoed in your child's school experience
We are a non-denominational Christian school. All BCS students receive daily Bible instruction. For Upper Division students, Bible is a required elective throughout their high school experience.
Students and faculty also participate in weekly chapel services Our strong relationships with local churches provide opportunities for services led by youth pastors and speakers. Lower Division meets first at 8:30 while Middle and Upper Division meet together at 9:30 for Chapel services.
Every year, we celebrate Spiritual Enrichment Week. This is a special time, as students and teachers from Kindergarten through 12th Grade meet daily for chapel services and spend time renewing our faith and fellowship. The week is filled with guest speakers and worship leaders as we set aside time to cultivate a closer walk with God.
S.E.T. Week is a week your child will look forward to every year. BCS students provide service in the local community and beyond, as Upper Division students can participate in our annual Mission Trip. Past trips have included destinations like Detroit, Oregon, New York City, New Orleans, the Dominican Republic. Our students have fed the homeless, served in homeless shelters, and helped to renovate a children's summer camp.
Upper Division students at BCS can apply to be a part of the Mission Team. The group's goal is to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus, ministering to the school, the Tampa Bay community, and beyond, through various projects and trips. The Mission Team's verse is found in 1 John 3:18: "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech, but with actions and in truth."

At Bayshore Christian School, we believe that serving others is a vital part of living out our faith. We are committed to teaching students the importance of missions and community service as an expression of Christ’s love in action. Through hands-on opportunities both locally and globally, students learn to be the hands and feet of Jesus caring for those in need, giving generously of their time and talents, and putting others before themselves. From the earliest grades through graduation, we intentionally cultivate a heart for service, helping students understand that leadership includes compassion and that faith is most powerful when it’s lived out through action.
At Bayshore, sports are an extension of the classroom. They help students grow in discipline, teamwork, and confidence. These are skills that lead to academic success and lifelong impact. Athletics create lasting friendships, build character, and offer a place to belong. Most importantly, they give students a chance to honor God through the gifts He has given them.
On every field and court, our students are building a strong foundation for life.
