After a great season of running, Kasey Steiner, Mrs. Taylor, and Kaiden Myers all drove down to Columbia, Missouri, for State Cross Country. While the ride was mostly fine, Mrs. T said one thing stood out, and that was “The car being filled with lots of farts.” After a somewhat fine car ride, it was time to get Kasey to the starting line. Although it’s just like any other meet, Mrs. T said “We were nervous. I was nervous, especially getting Kasey to the starting line on time. We were not relaxed or comfortable, especially seeing the size of the other competitors.” Nonetheless, Kasey ran strong, coming in 127th out of 170. For a first-year runner, Kasey formed a great foundation for next year. With State Cross Country under his belt, maybe Casey can even grab more members for the team next year!
