Congratulations

Tuesday, March 5 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday, March 6 1:30 p.m.

BCIT is located on the unceded territory of the xwməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səl̓ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations.

BCIT has been educating and inspiring students for over half a century on these traditional lands and for that, we are grateful. We acknowledge that the relationship with Indigenous peoples in Canada has been troubled and must be reconciled; we are deeply committed to working with our partners to advance reconciliation.

A message from our Board Chair and President

On behalf of the BCIT community, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to you on this momentous accomplishment.

This year marks BCIT’s 60 th year of delivering flexible, relevant, and future-proof education to our learners and we proudly celebrate this milestone with you during your Convocation. We recognize the rigorous education and training that BCIT provides and commend you on your perseverance and commitment to your studies. Take a moment to reflect on how far you have come.

We also want to express our deepest gratitude to the dedicated faculty and staff at BCIT who guided you throughout your journey of growth and learning. We also acknowledge your family and friends who encouraged and supported you—they share your triumph today.

As you step into the next phase of your life, the knowledge, skills, and values instilled by your BCIT education will carry you toward success in your field. We encourage you to keep in touch with us, upgrade your skills, return for an alumni event, join a program advisory committee, or share your skills by applying to become a faculty member at BCIT.

We look forward to seeing you continue to make an impact in your community and deliver on our vision of empowering people, shaping BC, and inspiring global progress. We wish you every success in your future endeavours—congratulations!
