he 74th annual Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival started as a festival to celebrate the end of the annual date harvest in the Coachella Valley and today presents an exciting line-up of headliner entertainment (included with admission) which will include George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Banda Machos, I Love the 90s (featuring Vanilla Ice, Coolio, Tone-Loc and Young MC), Chris Janson and Mariachi Sol de Mexico de José Hernandez. The Grandstand Arena features Humpz & Hornz Bull Riding, Monster Trucks with Metal

Mulisha/Fitz Army Freestyle Motocross, Junior Outlaw Sprints, Mini-Dwarfs Racing, Lawn Mower Racing, Demolition Derby and BMX Pros Stunt Show. Visitors can indulge in cinnamon rolls, funnel cakes and deep-fried Twinkies. The Arabian Nights Musical Pageant will mesmerize crowds, and mid-week entertainment includes Mana and Santana tribute bands, along with a local cover band. Two carnivals will offer extreme rides for thrill seekers, like bumper cars or the Chopper Hopper. Whether going for funnel cakes, animal adoptions, live music or a

The Riverside County Fair and National Date Festival is held February 14-23 at the Riverside County Fairground located at 82503 Highway 111 in Indio. The fair is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through Monday and noon to 10 p.m. Tuesay through Thursday. Carnival is open noon to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday. 10 a.m. to midnight on the weekends.
