Keeping your guests or home warm and toasty is important, as is keeping your utility bills down.

Here are a few Ways to Save money, while staying toasty warm.

Keep your thermostat set at a low temperature.

Then, be sure to hand out bla n ket s, hat s, g loves a nd s l ipp er s to y ou r guests as they enter your home. Perhaps scarves if necessa r y. Gat her pi llows by your fireplace or woodburning stove; that way more people can sit in front of it. Question: Dear Kari, My Realtor helped me list my home over t wo months ago. I have had severa l show i ngs, but not one of fer. I h av e been fairly depressed as one cou ld i mag i ne.

Answer: I a m sor r y t hat you experienced such a disa p p oi nt m e nt , y e t a l l m ay not b e lost . T he wise thing to do is to set the price amount aside and focus on the guts of the offers. This is just as importa nt as t he price offered. Think of it this way, i f you received a full price offer yet there were obstacles t hat would keep it from closing then the price does not come into play. Work closely with your Realtor a nd be su re to look at some of the vital points in a n of fer besides t he price: • Is the offer subject to another property being sold?

• How much deposit money is the buyer placi ng i nto t he escrow
