As a result, Kaiser Permanente is in expansion mode in Roseville. Thousands of motorists along Interstate 80 have likely noticed the new Medical Office Building being constructed on Riverside Avenue. Kids First is there for the whole family The Kids First Counseling and Family Resource Centers is a part of the community since 1989. After nearly 30 years of serving the community, it continues to provide much-needed care to the area’s children and families. Kids First also serves as the Child Abuse Prevention Council. “We look forward to celebrating our 30year anniversary in 2019 as the Child Abuse Prevention Council,” said Barbara Besana, executive director. “We will celebrate all year long with special focus during our annual luncheon in April, which is National Child Abuse Prevention Month.” Kids First offers counseling, parenting classes and provides resources. “Our agency is here to serve the community, primarily Placer County. We help people in times of need to heal, to stabilize, be stronger and thrive. We provide counseling, parenting classes, link families to resources and more,” Besana said. “All of our services are free, confidential and available in English and Spanish. In short, we prevent child abuse and we heal trauma by empowering and strengthening children and families. We want to ensure

SPLASH has been one of Roseville’s best parties for 23 years. The event, organized by the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce, is held annually at the Roseville Aquatics Complex and features the region’s best restaurants, wineries, breweries and bands in one location. More than 1,300 party-goers were at SPLASH 2017. Wendy Gerig, CEO of the Roseville Area Chamber of Commerce, said the event debuted in 1995 as a “signature event” for Roseville and a way to highlight the Roseville Aquatics Complex. “People of all ages love a good party and that is what Splash is,” Gerig said. “Businesses and residents alike just love SPLASH – a true partnership with the city of Roseville where proceeds are shared that provide scholarships to at-risk youth to participate in the various Parks and Recreation programs they might not otherwise be able to afford.”
