We host many fundraisers for local nonprofits, as well as donate to many nonprofits, especially to local schools. Additionally, we host many events to promote and support local artists and musicians.” Bowler said The Flower Farm Inn also holds several family-friendly events throughout the year, such as a pumpkin patch, Santa visits, a pet parade and annual Christmas tree farm. James Gowan said he wants to enjoy the experience of watching the brewing company grow to its full potential and then pass it on to son, Kenny Gowan, and his growing family. “Kenny and his wife, Linda, are making their mark on the spin-off of the brewery with the successful Loomis Basin Pub and Smokehouse in downtown Loomis,” Gowan said. “We are so proud of their success, but more importantly, their vision for the future of the family business. started out in the early ’90s as a backyard hobby. “It quickly turned to a realistic goal that afforded me early retirement from a daily job instead to a daily job of pleasure,” Gowan said. “Our family wanted to create a neighborhood establishment that afforded the everyday working community a place to hang out on Friday night that was affordable, relaxed and with a backyard vibe the locals could call their own.” It’s the neighborhood feel that sets the Loomis Basin Brewing Company apart from others. “The Loomis Basin Brewing Company family has been embraced and supported far beyond our expectations; hence our motto ‘always fresh, always local,’” Gowan said. “We are humbled

McLaughlin Studios teaches music, dance and theater arts to all ages McLaughlin Studios was founded by Greg and Nancie McLaughlin in 1993. It grew from a 500-square-foot studio with three music teachers to today’s 6,600-square-foot studio with 20 teachers and front office staff. The McLaughlins added dance and theater arts in 2008 and 2009, respectively. McLaughlin Studios prides itself on its nurturing and professional environment to teach the future generations of musicians, dancers and thespians. For 25 years, McLaughlin Studios has coordinated entertainment for the annual Loomis Eggplant Festival. McLaughlin Studios engages in the local elementary schools by providing after-school theatre, dance workshops and music training at the annual Loomis District Band Play a thon.
