Homeowner worried about wall cracks Dear Barry: Our home is less than one year old and cracks have already formed at the metal edges near the wall corners in some rooms. Our fear is that settlement problems are causing these cracks. The insists that the cracks are merely cosmetic in nature. How can we be sure our house is not settling? Quick ways to cut home energy costs With cooler temperatures coming, energy costs inevitably will go up. There’s no need to throw good money away, however, when even small changes can make a difference on those monthly bills.
