Event Planning announced it would be joining downtown Roseville’s revitalization effort by relocating from Citrus Heights to Vernon Street and opening a full restaurant and event center there. The event center opened in December, the “105 Bistro” restaurant is forthcoming, and the business is once again among Roseville’s Best of the Best. Owned by Randy and Lisa Peters, the company cooks for events as far away as San Francisco and Lake Tahoe, but draws most of its clientele from the Roseville area. “We liked what the city was doing with downtown Roseville, the redevelopment,” Lisa told the Press Tribune in December, adding that she and her husband had built a relationship with Chris Robles, the city’s economic development director. The couple said they purchased the building at 105 Vernon St. for approximately $840,000

QUICK QUACK CAR WASH uick Quack Car Wash’s decision to open a Q second location in Roseville last year paid off, with another win in the “best car wash” category for
the Press Tribune’s annual Best of the Best contest. And the company is not done growing. Originally started in 2004 in Carmichael as Splash & Dash Car Wash, the highly colorful, stateof-the-art washing outfit was purchased by new owners in 2007 and rebranded as Quick Quack Car Wash. The company kept expanding throughout the Sacramento region, with the first Roseville location hitting Blue Oaks Boulevard in 2011. Five years later, a new Quick Quack was unveiled on the busy thoroughfare of Douglas Boulevard in East Roseville. The concept behind Quick Quack is speed. Douglas Wagemann purchased what was then Cochrane’s Chapel of the Roses from a Texas corporation in 2013 and changes the name to Cochrane & Wagemann. nente is the largest managed-care organization in the United States. It is also regionally respected as a top health-care provider, winning a 2017 readership poll for Roseville’s Best of the Best. It’s a big year for Kaiser Permanente in Roseville, as the company is building a new medical office building this summer. The 210,000-square-foot state-of-the-art medical office building, to be located at 1001 Riverside Avenue, will replace Kaiser’s existing 90,000-square-foot Roseville medical offices. Roseville City Councilwoman Bonnie Gore, who works by day as community and government relations
manager for Kaiser, said the purpose of the new facility would be to have more healthcare providers on-site. Jeff Collins, senior vice president and area manager for Kaiser Permanente Roseville, has said the old offices will stay open while construction is underway. “The new medical office, which will better serve our fast growing membership in Roseville and Placer County, is expected to take a little over two years to complete once all necessary approvals are secured,” he said.

SUNDANCE INTERIORS oing on 33 years in business, SunG Dance Interiors on Washington Boulevard has spent time earning a reputation for quality products, affordability and customer service. For four years running, that reputation has earned it a place in Press Tribune readers’ hearts as one of Roseville’s Best of the Best. Owner Parviz Sadrian said he got his start in the industry as an intern, then a full-time employee, at a local furniture manufacturer. There he learned how to make custom furniture “from the frame up,” he said, but when that business started cutting back, he decided to open his own upholstery business. SunDance Interiors opened in 1984 and quickly expanded to include custom drapery, bedding, slipcovers, blinds and shutters, too. “I also wanted to be my own boss,” he

said. “I have my own workroom which enables me to have full control of all the upholstery work we receive, and we can give our customers a fast turnaround. Perryman’s reputation has been growing for two and a half decades, thanks largely to the extensive prep work its team does, along with the company’s drive to pay attention to detail. The attitude starts with founder Tim Perryman, who began as a simple contractor and ended up employing 60 painters by 2004. The team has proved its merits on everything from new custom homes and tract homes to re-paints and larger commercial industrial projects. Perryman’s painters use extremely high-quality products. The Perrymans also stress customer service, from the minute their employees walk onto a job to the last moments of an assignment. The business’ high ratings from customers online suggest the approach has been

paying off for quite some time. “We have our general contractor’s license and have expanded into full home renovations, which makes up about a third of our volume now,” Christie Perryman noted. The Perrymans say their biggest objective heading into the future is slow and steady growth, while maintaining the company’s excellence in customer service and quality work. Christie added that there are a lot of things they love about owning a business in South Placer. “It’s the people,” she reflected. “Most folks here have a great attitude towards life. I love working with good people and helping to brighten up their lives in even a small way. Nothing like a freshly painted house or a newly renovated kitchen to put a smile on your face.”

Mike Farr, regional marketing manager for the Roseville branch, said Finance of America takes the time to help clients look at their financial goals and see how a home loan will change those goals. “Getting to know our clients is the key in serving their needs,” Farr said. According to the company website, Finance of America offers a slew of different loans, tailoring financial options to best fit a person’s preferences and situation. Some loans have low down payments and flexible income, debt and credit requirements. Others have fixed rates for homebuyers who prefer to know how much they owe each month. USDA loans provide opportunities for people looking to buy in rural areas and VA loans provide options for qualifying military members and veterans. Giving homebuyers options seems to be

the driving force behind Finance of America’s operations. Farr went into the business to give potential homebuyers a unique experience, whether they’re purchasing a new home or refinancing one. “I really enjoy the challenges of the real estate and mortgage industry,” he said. “No two deals are the same.” The branch’s team of 34 mortgage advisors, two area managers and a planner work together to take homebuyers through a process that has the potential to be scary and stressful, striving to make it fun and easy.
