The Motorhome Rally Promises a Roaring Good Time attendees can browse through motorhome components, accessories, home products, clothing, and more within approximately 150 vendor spaces. Daily admission to the motorhome show is $10 per person; children admitted free. This fee is good for admission to the exhibits and seminars only; other activities are reserved for rally attendees. Free parking for those purchasing a daily admission pass is available at the Arrival Area on Arabia Street.
To kick off the year 2016, more than 1,200 families in motorhomes will travel to the Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival grounds in Indio for the 28th Annual Western Area Rally. The theme for this year’s rally is “Call of the Wild.” Rest assured that the only wild animals to be found during the event will be decorative, in keeping with the whimsical jungle theme. But it will be readily apparent that attendees are wild
about motorhomes and all things related. A small city within a city will form as the anticipated 3,000 people gather in their homes on wheels for this rally, which is expected to have an estimated economic impact of $3 million to $5 million in the local area. Members of the public are invited to take part in the motorhome show portion of the rally at the Riverside County Fair & National
Date Festival grounds. Display hours for motorhomes are from 1:30 p.m., until 4:30 p.m., on Wednesday, January 6. Hours for motorhome and other exhibits are 9 a.m., until 4 p.m., on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, January 7, 8, and 9. Motorhome dealers from throughout California will participate in the show. FMCA members may also purchase a one-day admission that includes exhibits and entertainment (no overnight parking) for an additional $25.
