Report 2007
Report 2007 illustrates some of the main projects carried out by BCF over the past year. Here we provide an overview of our activities, showing the studio’s contribution to design culture – an endeavour that is inherent in our approach to all the tasks we take on. This booklet thus aims to offer some considerations and contribute towards proactive interaction with our readers, based on the knowledge acquired by BCF through its experience over the years. We should also like to take the opportunity here to thank all those – employees, co-workers and companies – who have had confidence in our potential and who have allowed us to work on important projects and achieve significant results. We hope you enjoy the read, Susanna Brugnoli and Marcello Cutino
Three concepts that help explain the works created by BCF: orientation towards innovation, the value of design, a critical approach to challenges. Orientation towards innovation. This is a state of mind and an attitude that takes us beyond the obvious. Through experience, intuition and passion we are led to explore visions that contain the fundamental elements of true creativity. Ours is a constant and transversal approach, and a continuous challenge to never cease improving our relationships with our clients and work. The value of design This is what gives meaning to the expression and evolution of a company. Design expresses the unique value of a project, and this later comes out in different ways, always with the uniformity of a coherent overall vision clearly in mind. The result of this preliminary study is not always evident, and indeed sometimes it is almost imperceptible – and yet it is at the heart of every good work. A critical approach. This is what makes it possible to grasp the essentials, starting with an initial analysis and continuing through to all the problems it entails. It is a multi-level vision of strategies, forms and areas of concern that make each client unique, requiring a customised and focused analysis. The various solutions are then presented, explained and discussed. Here BCF becomes an adept interpreter and, by suggesting content, a strategic partner.
CONSULTING SERVICES 2007
The multidisciplinary and multi-sector approach adopted by BCF also emerges from the works it took on in 2007. BCF’s philosophy is well illustrated by the experience it has built up with the multi-utility municipalised company AGSM, with the presentation of a new logo for a large-scale retailing enterprise, and with its design projects, including the Vortix shower tray which was selected for the Delta Award and which came in the twentieth year of our cooperation with Roca, for which it was created.

AGSM Verona PROJECT
Social and Environmental Report 2006 OPERATION
Creative design and composition PARTNER
Sissi Peloso
It is now time to take stock. A social and environmental report is an extremely delicate instrument for a municipalised company like AGSM. The content has to be correctly interpreted and conveyed by means of a clear and recognisable image, respecting the wishes of the administration and, at the same time, satisfying the users’ need for simplicity. The graphic and conceptual design involves the use of multi-images of faces, symbolically representing the community to which the services are provided.

Stampa Grafica PROJECT

Studio Crear
A travelling companion The metaphor of a journey as the story and description of the potential offered by a printer of excellence is adopted to describe the quality of its cultural background. The presentation is highly engaging in terms of content and effectiveness, and the discovery of places is accompanied by the fascination of a host of techniques and stunning effects, gradually revealing the wealth of opportunities that printing can offer. As they turn the pages, readers with a discerning eye can glimpse unexpected ways to communicate their own desires.

Alluflon SpA PROJECT
New Brand philosophy OPERATION
Communication strategy Product and corporate image project
Image is all With its energetic, positive, creative and communicative character, Allluflon was a great challenge for BCF. A complete revamp of its logo and the design of new products called for a philosophy that would underpin the entire Alluflon range.A survey was made of the market, the latest trends, and the potential targets – and the brand philosophy was born. This led to the idea of a product catalogue made like a fashion magazine. Right from the outset, the project involved our entire studio, creating synergies between the design and communication departments: constructive contamination always gives positive results.
CLIENT
De Megni SpA PROJECT
Demmy Brand Image OPERATION
Image consulting for the product line
Game strategies De Megni is a large sales and services organisation in the world of retail distribution to stationers and to toy and gift shops. It has a wide range of products: BCF focused on the image of the items by creating logos and sales-support systems. This was a wide-ranging operation that included the design and development of the “Amorbidosi brand on labels, packaging and catalogues for the furry toy range.

Celebration of the Centenary of the Winery OPERATION
Coordinated image of the event PARTNER
Sissi Peloso
One hundred vintages The celebration of the centenary of a company is always a significant event, and even more so when it is a prestigious and renowned winery. The project focuses on highlighting the history and geography of the place and on the way the company has evolved and expanded over the years. The graphic image of the event pays tribute to the acknowledged and long-standing reputation of a global brand of local winemakers.
CLIENT
Revello SpA PROJECT
B2B documentation OPERATION
Corporate image consulting services
Combining experience and innovation Over the past 25 years Revello has become the market leader in the odontology and prosthetic dentistry sector in Italy. BCF has accompanied this growth by creating the company’s corporate image in all its various aspects, giving it a consistent and recognisable philosophy. This has involved an all-embracing approach that, together with the creation of a diary, catalogue and trade-fair stand, has acquired tangible form in two new logos and their relative media: D-Stile for professional garments and Centra for single-brand accessories.

Merloni TermoSanitari SpA PROJECT
Product guide OPERATION
New product-range launch
A sure guide BCF’s consulting services and partnership continued in 2007 with strategic support for the DNAriston project: two product guides – for the end user and for the installer – are designed to convey the new philosophy behind the range of wall-mounted boilers. This forms part of a project for the expansion and development of the Ariston brand, which BCF has been working on for a number of years.

Marangoni SpA PROJECT
Autopromotech 2007 Stand OPERATION
Event strategy Stand design and communication
Communication space The Marangoni Group took part in grand style at the Autopromotech auto-accessory and original-equipment trade fair. BCF adopted a radial concept to design its area: a number of specialised activities were presented outside, while the core values of Marangoni were illustrated at the centre of the stand. The space was arranged in such a way as to ensure that the communication was truly representative of the various companies in the Group, each of which requires customised management and consulting.

Alluflon SpA PROJECT
Moneta website OPERATION
Web site design and creation
Navigating in style 2007 saw a complete overhaul of the Internet site devoted to Moneta, the historic cooking utensils brand. Great passion and a keen understanding of cooking not just as accessory to a high-quality lifestyle enabled BCF to create a web site with a feel that is perfect for capturing the attention of various types of Web navigators. The success of this approach can be seen in the increasing number of visitors.

Chaffoteaux, a product is never alone Significant work has been carried out for Chaffoteaux, accompanying the performance gains achieved by these climate-control units. BCF worked on designing and creating an interactive, multimedia product presentation to illustrate its innovative features and explain its correct use. This important information operation was designed to make an increasingly complex and sophisticated technology easily accessible to the public.

Franke Italia SpA PROJECT
Atmosfera collection of sinks OPERATION
Product design
The atmosphere of home The work on the Atmosfera kitchen sink for Franke has special significance: this is the re-design of the sink of the same name that was first designed – by BCF – about twenty years ago, and that went on to become an absolute bestseller. The aim of the design is to innovate the product without losing sight of its original spirit. The curved lines of the original product, which gave it a dynamic and futuristic look, have become soft and light in the new version, suggesting the idea of a warm and reassuring product.

The Vortix shower tray was selected for the Delta 2007 Award

The shapes and the image of the new products have gradually made it possible for the company to shift from its traditional look and become a brand that offers the very latest in design.
INITIATIVES
BCF’s “initiatives” are those areas of operation that do not strictly involve consultation. These activities give tangible form to the studio’s focus on design culture, exploring issues and involving consultants, artists, experts, and companies who share the same interests and who work in this field. BCF initiatives include the production of patents, the publication of informational albums and cards on our areas of research, and current affairs items in trade magazines.
