From the Head Master

Welcome to the Brighton College Society

We are delighted to welcome you into our vibrant community of Brighton College parents. At the heart of the Society is a simple idea: creating opportunities for our parents to connect, discover new interests, and enjoy memorable experiences together.

Throughout the year, we offer a varied programme of events designed to inspire and entertain. From behind-the-scenes visits to creative workshops and informal social gatherings, we hope there will be something that sparks your curiosity.

Some of our events are even led and hosted by parents themselves, helping to make the Society a genuine reflection of the energy, talents and generosity within our community.

At Brighton College, we believe that education is at its strongest when it is shared. Just as your children flourish through being part of a House, team, club or orchestra, we hope you as parents will also enjoy feeling connected to each other and the life of the College through your Society. Take every opportunity to relax, learn something new, meet new people and build lasting friendships along the way.

Highlights of this year’s calendar

Michaelmas Term 2026

Comedy Night

Join us in the Cairns Theatre for an evening of live comedy featuring some of the most exciting acts on the circuit.

Only the bravest among you are encouraged to sit in the first two rows!

A Visit to Dulwich Picture Gallery

Explore the newly unveiled Sculpture Garden, where we will spend time with artist Makiko Harris and hear about the inspiration behind her striking work.

The visit also includes the landmark exhibition of Katsushika Hokusai’s celebrated Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji from the renowned Luchi Collection.

Behind the Scenes Tour of the Royal Opera House

Step behind the curtain at the Royal Opera House and discover the magic that brings world-class opera and ballet to life.

This fascinating guided tour takes you into areas usually closed to the public, including rehearsal studios, costume departments and production workshops.

Back by popular demand, The Big Pub Quiz returns, hosted by the multi-award-winning Quiz Face.

This is not a night for quietly hiding behind your answer sheet. Expect lively music rounds, unexpected challenges, just a hint of friendly rivalry and plenty of laughter as your team battles to avoid the Losers’ Lambrini.
