Chrissy is a Colorado native who grew up in Fort Collins. In 2013, she moved to Gunnison to attend Western Colorado University. While in Gunnison, she explored, adventured, and enjoyed the beauty of the area and fell in love with the valley. After graduating, she attended Kansas State University and received her master’s degree in 2020. Her love for Gunnison drew her back to the valley after graduating.

Chrissy now works alongside Brian Cooper as his assistant in sales and marketing. She is responsible for making sure transactions run smoothly and efficiently as well as big picture marketing strategy. Her experience with previous town developments and her professional relationships at Western are paramount in her support of the Brian Cooper team. Alex was born and raised in Southeast Texas and has been visiting the Gunnison Valley since she was a child. In the summer of 2019, she finally made the move and is thrilled to now call this valley home. As a licensed agent for over four years in Texas, Alex developed a knowledge and love of real estate and is excited to expand that knowledge in the Gunnison/Crested Butte market. In her free time, she loves spending time out on the trails hiking and snowshoeing and enjoying the year-long beauty this place has to offer. Josh Young

Josh moved from North Carolina to the Gunnison Valley in 2010 to continue his education at Western State Colorado University. As an avid fly fisher, skier, mountain biker and overall outdoor enthusiast, the move to the Gunnison Valley was a perfect fit. Over the past eight years Josh has been selling real estate in the Gunnison Valley, where he specializes in commercial, residential and mountain recreation properties. In his free time, Josh can be found out with his dog Abe hiking in the high country or floating the river. Grateful for the community that has supported him, Josh makes sure new residents are welcomed with open arms and good times ahead.

Steve Mills

Steve first came upon Crested Butte in 1979, and soon after it became home. In 1980 he opened a sports store on Elk Avenue. Then in 1991, he transitioned into a career in real estate. He served as a board member on the first Crested Butte Chamber of Commerce during his time in CB. In 1996, he and his three children moved down valley to Gunnison, where he resides to this day. While living in Gunnison, he has volunteered for the Gunnison Country Food Pantry, as well as on the Cattlemen’s Days board and has served as a president (2015) and board member (2006-2019) for the Gunnison/Crested Butte Association of Realtors. In the warmer months, you will catch Steve pursuing his passion for road cycling, hiking and backpacking. In the colder months, you will see Steve touring his favorite Nordic skis trails and downhill skiing.

Bud Bush Principal

Bud and his wife, Nancy, met when they were in high school chemistry class together in Houston, before settling in Dallas to raise their two boys. Bud enjoys everything outdoors, as well as writing music and poetry. He sold real estate and managed several real estate offices in Dallas for nearly thirty years, prior to founding Bluebird. Joe joined Bluebird in 2019 as a sales associate and became a full-time staff member last fall. A graduate of Indiana University, Joe’s keen sense of business and marketing acumen allow him to provide a top-level service. Mary was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She moved to Gunnison, Colorado to attend Western Colorado University as a Graphic Design major. After graduating, Mary led and contributed to several mission-based projects for non-profit organizations in the Valley, including Gunnison Valley Mentors, Mountain Roots Food Project, and the Adaptive Sports Center. Mary loves to spend time outdoors with friends, skiing, mountain biking, or hiking in her free time. Mary has a strong passion for design and enjoys contributing to Bluebird’s exceptional marketing and brand awareness.
