As the season shifted, the community came together for Homecoming, hunting and football season. Western Colorado University marked its 125th anniversary with a lively South Main Street block party, followed by the annual Homecoming Parade down Main Street. Downtown continued to buzz with community events, from the popular Music Cruise, which brought crowds of cyclists and live music through town, to First Friday Art Walks that showcased more local businesses and regional artists. The Gunnison Farmers Market welcomed more vendors than in previous years, offering fresh produce, and handmade goods, while Sage Grouse and High Alpine Brewing brought neighbors together for block parties on West Georgia Avenue. Together, these gatherings reflect Gunnison’s vibrant community and small-town character. The Gunnison real estate market remains steady, with sales slightly below last year but inventory expanding to provide buyers with more options. Available homes have increased 30% in the Gunnison area and 15% valley wide, creating new opportunities across price points. These trends reflect the valley’s continued appeal and evolving opportunities for buyers and sellers. This year is especially meaningful for Bluebird Real Estate as we celebrate ten years in business and five years with a downtown Gunnison location.
