Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Efforts
The Better Business Bureau rejects racism and discrimination of any kind, and we expect the same from our businesses and business owners.
BBB launched several diversity initiatives, including the Diversity and Culture Engagement strategy plan proposed by the International Association of Better Business Bureaus. The three-phase plan was set to improve and embed diversity into our mission and values.

• Recognizing Juneteenth as a Paid Holiday • Showcasing Minority-Owned Businesses • Building Stronger Connections BBB is committed to developing stronger connections with our local community by empowering entrepreneurs and underserved communities. Through multiple community partnerships like the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, we generated creative strategies for pursuing equality in the marketplace. These strategies benefited minority-owned businesses and the customers those businesses serve.
Did you know that if you’re a minority-owned business, you can add it to your Business Profile? Doing so allows BBB to communicate funding opportunities based on your business demographics.
2021 Inaugural DEI Impact Award Recipient
In 2021, BBB was proud to introduce the DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) Impact Award. This new annual awards program celebrates businesses that lead by example and hold themselves and others accountable for DEI initiatives. Businesses could selfnominate or be nominated by an employee or member of the community. The award serves to publicly recognize organizations that have made significant contributions in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion. It is designed to promote the importance of eliminating inequalities in the marketplace and recognize the willingness and efforts made by outstanding organizations to help contribute to an inclusive marketplace. The award embodies BBB’s mission of celebrating marketplace role models. BBB was honored to award Briggs & Associates with the 2021 Inaugural DEI Impact Award during the Annual Gala event.
BBB continues to listen and learn to equitably support consumers and businesses, create inclusive spaces, and amplify diverse voices.
