Welcome to the Fourth Annual Art Escape, a celebration of the thriving arts scene on Wisconsin’s northernmost peninsula.
Nestled along the stunning shores of Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands, the Bayfield Peninsula is home to a vibrant community of artists whose work is deeply inspired by the region’s natural beauty. This September 6–14, 2025, the Bayfield Chamber and Visitor Bureau invites you to experience this creative energy firsthand during Art Escape—a nine-day festival filled with art, workshops, live demonstrations, and interactive opportunities for all ages.
The week kicks off with Bayfield’s beloved 62nd Annual Festival of Arts , where Memorial Park transforms into a dynamic outdoor gallery. Local and national artists showcase their work along the lakefront, while hands-on kids’ activities bring color and creativity to the entire family experience. Throughout the week, galleries and studios across the peninsula and Madeline Island open their doors to visitors, offering a behind-the-scenes look into the creative process.
