About Us

bayern design bayern design is the power behind the mcbw. We are the international center of excellence for design-related knowledge transfer and collaboration in Bavaria.

We create communication and events on design-relevant themes from AI and brand building to circular economy, in the form of stage exhibitions, trade show appearances, panel discussions, and workshops. Our goal is to foster design in Bavaria and raise its public profile.

We spark inspiration, build connections, and provide a platform for designers, entrepreneurs, and the interested public.

About Us

munich creative business week For over a decade the mcbw has been the largest event created by bayern design, the largest design event in Germany, and a major meeting-point for the creative and design industries at national and international level.

During the nine days of the annual mcbw, we bring together designers, design enthusiasts, companies, and students from all design-related areas and from the world of business. The aim: to foster interdisciplinary dialog and present the relevance of design as a universally accessible experience.

To raise the public profile of design in terms of its social, ecological, and economic significance, we devise a new motto for the mcbw every year.

How can we, as individuals, communities, and societies, change our behavior in a way that modifies our monstrous impact on the Earth into something more sustainable? How can we influence our mindsets to move in the right direction, how can we spark “learning”? To trigger creativity, we need design.
