BLESS AND BE BLESSED IN THIS SEASON OF GIVING
BAUM NEWS BEYOND THE OFFICE
During this festive period, we decided as a company we wanted to give back and be a blessing. Baum and Bangladesh have always had a special relationship since 8 years ago. We make contributions every month to them with the help of Uniworld. We also try to make an effort to visit the children every year. As God has been so fantastic to us this 2019, we wanted to share some of that with the precious children in Bangladeh during this Christmas period. Looking at the smiles we delivered during this week long trip is just indescribable. We hope this inspires you to give to someone around you in a small way too! Delivering Smiles During this week long trip, we brought along many gifts for all the children. We decided to specially customize backpacks, notebooks, pencil cases and water bottles for them to start their 2020 school year on the right track. One of the gifts were backpacks for them to store their books and stationary. We found out that they either just use plastic bags or torn bags to store their items so we wanted to make sure they had a durable and good size bag to store what they need for school. Gifts Galore We decided to give a set of gifts to each children – a bagpack, two notebooks, a water bottle and also a pencil case. This will definitely come in handy for them and help them in their day to day life. We included special bible verses on the bag pack and notebook for them to be reminded of the love of the Father. It is to constantly embrace them with strength, warmth and words of encouragement. We gave them notebooks for them to practice writing or drawing whenever they want to aid in their learning Backpack design by Baum Project
Happy Faces Another very useful gift is a water bottle. Bangladesh face a huge problem of having clean water and many children has been lost because of this problem. With this water bottle the children are able to store boiled water in it and drink it for the rest of the day. Just look at her happy face!
