We want the Games
Staff Wednesday officials from the selection committee for the 2018 Saskatchewan Winter Games were in North Battleford to evaluate the bid from the Battlefords. Among the highlights was their arrival at the CUplex where they were greeted by cheering supporters waving placards in support of bringing the Games to the Battlefords. In addition to touring the CUplex, officials
also toured the Civic Centre and Blue Mountain Adventure Park. The Battlefords is competing with Lloydminster for the right to host the 2018 games, with the effort co-ordinated by the City and Destination Battlefords. At city council Monday, Director of Leisure Services Bill Samborski expressed confidence about what the community offered, saying “we really do feel that there’s no place in the province that could compete with us right now.”
