Tree farm spruce burn Staff Another large grass fire, this one in the RM of North Battleford, brought out a full response from North Battleford Fire Department. The blaze happened northwest of the 19th Tee location Thursday at around 3:52 p.m. According to the fire department, a large portion of spruce trees at a tree farm that the landowner owned was consumed, along with numerous round bales, a large portion of grass and an open stubble field. Five apparatus and 13 personnel were on hand for two hours and 40 minutes to put out the blaze. Firefighters were also called to a dumpster fire Saturday at about 10:40 p.m. The blaze was set at 11204 - Railway Ave. Three personnel were on the scene for about 15 minutes.
Fun Finale
The Community Youth Choir wound up its season Sunday with an imaginative concert and colourful costumes. Logie Hall at Third Avenue United Church was filled with the sounds of children’s voices as family and friends applauded their performance.
