BATTLEFORDS–There will be lots for families to do in the Battlefords to celebrate New Year’s Eve this year. The City of North Battleford plans to have a spectacular fireworks display from King Hill starting at 7 p.m. on Dec. 31. There will also be a number of fun parties people can take part in. The Armoury Brewing Company is planning a special New Year’s Eve party, with entertainment, door prizes, and late night snacks. Doors open at 7 p.m. People can also ring in the New Year with the North Stars New Year’s Eve bash. According to their Facebook Page, the event starts with a home game at the Access Communications Centre arena in North Battleford. When the final buzzer sounds, the party will start. There will be music, entertainment, and $3 per slice pizza as everyone counts down to midnight. People can also attend the New Year’s Eve Kids’ Party. All the fun takes place at the Agrivilla in North Battleford on Dec. 31. The event includes bouncy castles, music and lights, games and the Balloon Man.
