Mr. and Mrs. Darrell P. Ourso are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Amanda Jane Ourso of Baton Rouge to Nicholas David Ieyoub of Lake Charles. Amanda is the oldest of two children. Nicholas is the oldest of Mr. David and Dr. Susan Ieyoub’s four sons, and comes from a large, close family. The couple, who met September 28, 2019, at Wrong Iron, both graduated from LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, and work at Ochsner Medical Center. Nicholas works in Infection Control, focusing on inpatient care and MRSA infections. Amanda is an audiologist focusing on pediatrics, hearing aids, and sedated hearing tests. The couple’s families are close and often get together for nights in New Orleans. Amanda was delightfully surprised when Nicholas proposed on January 15, 2022, at the Hotel Monteleone under the guise of pre-dinner cocktails at the Carousel Bar for his birthday. The pair and their parents celebrated with dinner at GW Fins and champagne toasts at the Virgin Hotel. They will be married on April 29, 2023, in Baton Rouge. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell P. Dr. and Mrs. Timothy Rhett Raborn of Baton Rouge are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter Lucy Elizabeth Raborn to Jacob Andrew Altmyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Joseph Altmyer of New Orleans.
Lucy attended St. Joseph’s Academy and is a graduate of Louisiana State University, where she earned a degree in biological sciences. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from LSU School of Dentistry. Before starting dental school, Lucy interned with a real estate investment group and is an active member of her family’s real estate investment business.
Jacob is a graduate of Jesuit High School in New Orleans. He attended LSU, was a member of Acacia Fraternity, and currently serves as its assistant chapter advisor. He earned his Juris Doctor and Diploma in Comparative Law from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at LSU. He is a practicing attorney in admiralty and maritime litigation at Pusateri, Johnston, Guillot, and Greenbaum in New Orleans. The wedding is planned for December 17 in New Orleans.
