FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION: “It was important for us to have comfort, safety, convenience and an at-home feeling to our facility. We have three distinct units under one roof—assisted living, a memory care unit, and a long-care and skilled nursing unit. The recently opened Lodge at Lane senior living facility, located near Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary, offers assisted living, memory care and long-term care within separate areas of the campus.

2. The spacious main lobby with a gas fireplace conveys a warm resort atmosphere, providing a relaxing place for families to gather.

3. A bank of windows opening to a courtyard allows plenty of natural light to fill the main dining room. Warm tones and open space impart a simple, country feel.

4. The theater offers large, comfortable seats, a 90-inch TV and sound-dampening walls.
