Bath City Farm seeks new trustees to join the board It’s an unusual role - to be part of the governance of the city’s very own community farm. Yes, Bath City Farm is looking for a new Chair of Trustees plus two additional Trustees to join the board. It comes at a time when the farm is entering a new era with a new three year strategy outlined to “create a healthy community rooted in nature, food, farming and each other.” The farm also has some new visitors in the shape of 20 cows form Newton Farm for conservation grazing on the 27 acre site. Kind families welcome refugees from war torn Ukraine to Bath By Harry Mottram. Two themes have emerged in Bath and across the country concerning the arrival (or non-arrival) of Ukrainian refugees. One is the huge generosity of Bathonians and British residents in welcoming those fleeing the war in Ukraine and the second is
the frustration at the paperwork that is involved to grant them visas. The BBC reported on the case of Tamara Sturtz-Filby in Bath who has invited Alina, 32, and her son Artem, 2, from Kharkiv to live with her but after three weeks of waiting felt frustrated by the
bureaucracy leaving the couple stranded in Hungary. They reported she said: “It’s been very frustrating. They’re in limbo and have been incredibly patient. I just want them to be here now. They want to be here, we want them here so they can get Continued on page 3
