MA EDUCATION (EARLY CHILDHOOD STUDIES) Develop specialist knowledge of children’s learning, development and wellbeing from birth to age eight. Explore contemporary issues in early childhood education and apply theory directly to professional practice.

MA EDUCATION (LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT) Designed for current and aspiring leaders, this course helps you develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to lead change, improve practice and make a positive impact across educational organisations.

MA EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP (TEACH FIRST) Continue your studies and add to your existing Teach First PGCE or PGDE to attain a Master’s. Develop your leadership and research skills to fast-track your career.

MA INCLUSIVE EDUCATION AND SEND Gain specialist expertise in inclusive education and SEN for expert practitioners. Critically explore policy and practice while developing strategies to support diverse learners and improve educational outcomes.

MA PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE IN EDUCATION A flexible online or in-person Master’s that allows you to tailor your studies to your professional interests while developing advanced research skills and laying the foundations for career progression. If you have existing credits earned via a PGCE this can be used towards this course (MA top-up). Connect with our Programme Leader to discuss your specific options.

MA SPECIFIC LEARNING DIFFICULTIES/DYSLEXIA Study a SpLD Assessment Standards Committee (SASC) accredited Master’s in Dyslexia and Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD). Acquire specialist teaching skills for dyslexia, to strengthen your professional skills and enhance your career prospects with a mix of day, weekend and evening sessions.

COURSE LENGTH: Three years part-time ANNUAL MA FEES: £3,805* (UK part-time, includes Assessment Methodology module) AMBDA MODULE ONLY: £2,230 (for applicants who have completed the PG Cert in SpLD/Dyslexia or hold SpLD Specialist Teacher status from another course and wish not to complete a Master’s degree.) *This course is studied part-time over three years, with tuition fees payable in all years of study.

MA COUNSELLING AND PSYCHOTHERAPY PRACTICE (DISTANCE LEARNING) Gain a Master’s in Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice to complement your professional counselling and/or psychotherapy training. Flexible learning linked to your specialist interest allows you to enhance your skills and develop self-awareness to support your continued professional development. This course is suitable for qualified counsellors and psychotherapists who have completed a recognised training qualification and have professional working experience.

PGDIP WALDORF EDUCATION AND CREATIVE PEDAGOGIES (LOW RESIDENCY) Explore creative and holistic approaches to teaching with a PGDip in Waldorf Education and Creative Pedagogies, jointly delivered by BSU and the Waldorf Learning Foundation. Ideal for educators seeking innovative ways to engage and inspire learners.

COURSE LENGTH: 12-16 months part-time ANNUAL FEES: £4,700 (UK part-time) TAUGHT: You’ll be taught both online (lectures, seminars, tutorials) and through a series of residential long weekends at the Steiner Academy, Hereford

PG CERT PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION SENCO Extend your knowledge of Special Educational Needs Coordination in our SENCo top-up course. Designed for practicing teachers, the course complements your NPQ SENCO award.

Please note that successful completion of the NPQ with your chosen provider is required to achieve this PG Cert award.

COURSE LENGTH: 16 months part-time ANNUAL FEES: £1,100* (UK part-time) TAUGHT: Distance learning *This course runs over four trimesters and is part-time only. The fee shown is the full tuition fee.

PRIMARY EDUCATION (5-11) WITH QTS This Primary Education with QTS degree course will give you the essential knowledge, skills and confidence that you’ll need to shine in the classroom. Co-created and co-delivered with our partnerships with 400 local schools, you’ll develop both a core and foundation subject specialism, supporting you to become highly employable by the end of the course.

BA (HONS) EDUCATION Explore how education shapes society while building highly sought-after professional skills. This flexible degree covers policy, social justice, and global citizenship, featuring hands-on work placements. You can also study Education alongside another subject as part of a combined course.

COURSE LENGTH: Three years full-time (4 with placement year*) or part-time equivalent ANNUAL FEES: £9,790 per year (UK full-time), £4,895 per year (UK part-time) TAUGHT: In person at Newton Park campus *During the placement year, the fee is reduced to 20% of the full time fee.

BA (HONS) EDUCATION (TOP UP) Turn your existing credits or foundation degree into a full Bachelor’s degree with this flexible online course.

Designed for professionals already working in schools and educational settings, you’ll study evidence-based classroom practices while exploring key themes like inclusion, wellbeing, and education policy.

PROFESSIONAL DOCTORATE IN EDUCATION Enhance your career with our Professional Doctorate in Education (EdD). Undertake doctoral-level research focused on real-world educational challenges. Designed for experienced professionals seeking to influence practice, policy and educational change.

COURSE LENGTH: Up to six years ANNUAL FEES: £2,503* TAUGHT: Modules are taught through a combination of synchronous and asynchronous activities, with in-person study blocks taught at our Newton Park campus *This course is offered on a part-time basis, and you can study for up to six years. You’ll pay a fee for each year of study, and fees are revised on an annual basis
