ARTISAN CERAMIC URNS

Rookwood pottery urns created exclusively for Batesville.

ABOUT ROOKWOOD

Rookwood’s remarkable history begins in 1880 with its founder, Maria Longworth Nichols Storer. Storer was a trailblazer, creating the first female-owned manufacturing business in the United States. Her vision for Rookwood was to produce ceramics that were beautiful and of exceptional quality.

Distinctive styles - from intricate patterns to vibrant glazes - came to define Rookwood pottery. Rookwood’s dedication to innovation and excellence earned it a special place in the world of art and design.

Every urn in the collection is a masterpiece, crafted with timeless ceramic techniques. While each urn shares a common elegance, no two are identical, ensuring that each one stands as a distinct tribute to a life well lived.

THE LONGWORTH

The Longworth urn pays heartfelt tribute to Maria Longworth Nichols Storer, the visionary founder of Rookwood. Known for her artistry and pioneering spirit, Storer’s influence endures through this beautiful urn.

The design features a delicate floral-like pattern, reminiscent of Rookwood’s cherished Emilia collection, and the elegant two-tone finish adds a refined touch. Each urn is crafted with deep respect and care, embodying a timeless tribute to your loved one’s memory. Longworth urns are a beautiful option for in-home or niche placement.

Available in 3 unique glazes, Arcadia, Cafe and Angel Falls. Each in a full size as well as a keepsake.

THE CELESTIAL

The Celestial urn draws inspiration from Rookwood’s historic 1926 Legacy Panel vase, crafted by the renowned artist Kataro Shirayamadani, and is named after Celestial Street, Rookwood’s original location in Cincinnati.

Each Celestial urn is truly one of a kind, thanks to expert glazing techniques that create unique color patterns, crystalline touches and a soft, glowing finish. Perfect for both niche or home placement, this urn offers a beautiful and personal tribute to your loved one, ensuring their memory is honored in a distinctive and meaningful way.

THE ADAMS

Named in honor of Cincinnati’s Mt. Adams neighborhood, Rookwood’s historic home, the Adams urn embodies the spirit and craftsmanship of Rookwood’s storied legacy. Exclusively crafted for Batesville, each urn is a testament to meticulous artistry, designed by a skilled Rookwood artisan.
