Each year, one builder, one remodeler and one associate member of BATC earns these most prestigious awards that recognize trust, communication, loyalty and ethics in their business dealings with other BATC members as well as their customers. Online surveys completed by BATC members with which each nominee works, plus customer testimonials are evaluated by past “of-the-year” winners to select each year’s three top honors.
•
Deadline for entry: Friday, July 7.
•
Entrants will receive emailed instructions to forward judging forms to their BATC member partners and clients around July 14.
Evaluations/survey response points will be compiled with the top three to five aggregate scoring firms named as finalists.
•
The review panel will verify the highest scoring firm as the award recipient. The only exception to the highest scoring firm receiving the award would be in case of bankruptcy, or license revocation or suspension.
•

Qualifications
This award recognizes excellence in neighborhood design and construction. Judging criteria used to determine the winner include aesthetic appeal, land plan, retention of natural features, amenities, neighborhood structures as well as traffic flow. One or more winners may be selected depending on the classification and number of entries.
Entrants must be a BATC Developer or Builder member. Development that currently has homes for sale; or any completed development that had been actively selling in the past three years, have had at least one Parade of HomesSM entry on the tour within the past 24 months are eligible. Previous winning projects are not eligible.

Parade of HomesSM Builders For almost 60 years, local builders have coveted the Reggie Award more than any other. Winners are selected from Fall Parade of Homes entrants by judging teams of Builders, Remodelers and qualified Associates who visit homes within their category. They then come together to select the best example of excellence in design, construction quality and value.

The Remodeler of Merit Awards (ROMA) honor our remodeler members for quality and value in remodeling projects that range from baths, kitchens and additions to whole-house remodels. Professional remodelers from Sioux Falls, SD serve as judges. Judges look for creativity in meeting the unique challenges of remodeling, and in successfully meeting the needs, desires, and budgets of their clients.

There is no limit to the number of categories a remodeling project can enter.

The fair market value of your project will be used to assign the entry into the appropriate sub-category.

BATC Associates The Trillium Awards were established to honor our Associates for their partnership with Builders and Remodelers. When a Reggie-winning home or ROMAwinning project is judged the winner, associates that provide products, services and labor should also be honored. Trillium Awards do just that. Associates are invited to enter the competition for any homes they worked on which have been entered in the Reggie or ROMA competitions.

This award will honor emerging leaders. Rising Stars are at the beginning of their housing industry career, exemplify leadership qualities, and show a dedication to activities which build industry relationships and promote professional development.

These individuals offer a significant contribution and positive influence in their 20 plus years of service to the home building industry.

Preparing for Nomination Nominators will be asked to provide a short overview of the person, their achievements, and the reason for the nomination, including their history of service, significant contribution and positive influence to the industry, and leadership.
Election •
The current BATC President, Builder Vice President, Treasurer, and Associate Vice President will comprise the review panel along with input from BATC staff to confirm the eligibility of the nominees and present them as finalists to ‘the electors.’ Electors will be the past five living recipients of the Robert L. Hanson Lifetime Achievement Award.

Each elector will vote for no more than three (3) confirmed finalists. If there are four (4) or less eligible candidates, then each elector will have one vote. Write-in votes are not permitted.
•
Any finalist receiving votes on a majority of the ballots cast shall be a recipient of the Robert L. Hanson Lifetime Achievement Award.

The BATC Industry Service Award is an individual award in recognition of a person’s outstanding contribution in the past year to BATC. Importantly, the contributions go above and beyond, offering their time, energy and talents to serve at BATC. That dedication and service is what the BATC Industry Service Award Recognizes.
In building a strong association, Building BATC members are priceless. A member who works to recruit new members gets members involved and retains members. Each year, BATC recognizes the member who has recruited the most new members as our Building BATC Award recipient.
