As we reﬂect on 2024, I am ﬁlled with pride in all we accomplished together. This year was marked by mission-driven successes and thoughtful planning for the future. Opportunities to work toward ending homelessness in the Twin Cities and beyond are endless, and we continue to align with new service providers and community partners. One of our proudest achievements was the completion of three additional single-family homes through our ongoing collaboration with Lennar and the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV). These homes now serve veterans and their families experiencing homelessness. In 2024, we also launched a new partnership with Spring Lake Park High School’s construction program. Together, students helped build a home or Elevate Hope House, an organization providing safe housing for young mothers and their children in Anoka County. By engaging young people in this work, we are not only creating housing but also cultivating the next generation of community builders. Beyond these projects, our Foundation has worked tirelessly to expand outreach and strengthen connections with service providers meeting a wide range of needs, including Hope House-180 Degrees, Elevate Hope House, Bravo Zulu House, Avivo, and MACV. We continue to deepen our relationships with Housing First members and partners, and the generosity we’ve witnessed is astounding. Fundraising has exceeded expectations through personal contributions, grants, and unwavering support of our events—which continue to sell out. It has been an honor to serve alongside Foundation Board members who roll up their sleeves, think creatively, and drive meaningful impact in building safe housing for Minnesotans in need. With gratitude for all we’ve achieved and excitement for the milestones ahead, I look forward to building on this momentum. We are making a difference—TOGETHER!

N O R T H M I N N E A P O L I S – O A K PA R K AVE N U E Housing First Minnesota’s Foundation, in partnership with MACV and Lennar, has completed construction of a three-bedroom transitional housing residence in North Minneapolis. The home will be owned and operated by MACV, providing safe and stable transitional housing for veterans and their families experiencing homelessness. This project marks the Foundation’s 12th Housing for Heroes initiative in the Twin Cities metro area, delivering essential support and shelter to veteran families in need.

HOUSING FOR HEROES:

N O R T H M I N N E A P O L I S – I R VI N G AVE N U E Working together with MACV and Lennar, Housing First Minnesota’s Foundation built a new three-bedroom transitional residence in North Minneapolis and an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) to support veterans and their families who are facing homelessness. Following construction, MACV has taken ownership and operates the home as transitional housing. This effort represents the Foundation’s 13th Housing for Heroes project in the region and underscores its commitment to strengthening communities by ensuring veteran families have access to much-needed housing.

Program Fundraising Management & General

In 2024, the Foundation launched a multiyear $6M housing project for the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans, our largest project to date. A fundraising campaign raised more than half of the funding needed for the project as the land acquisition, development, and approval process took place in 2024. The remaining funding was raised in 2025 and the project broke ground in April. It will be complete by the end of the year with all project expenses reﬂected in the 2025 ﬁnancials.

WHAT ’ S NEXT ? In 2025, our Foundation will continue investing in Minnesota communities by breaking ground on and completing four community build projects. Each initiative expands shelter capacity and resources to meet the needs of Minnesotans experiencing homelessness.

With your support, we will complete the following community build projects in the pipeline: Housing for Heroes, St. Paul – Our 15th Housing for Heroes project, built in collaboration with MACV and Lennar, will provide transitional housing for veterans and their families. Transitional Home for Single Mothers – Partnering with Elevate Hope House, Spring Lake Park High School, and Lennar, we will construct a three-bedroom home to serve single mothers and their children in need of transitional housing.

Veteran Village – The Foundation’s largest undertaking to date, this industry-led, townhome-style community will provide stable housing for up to 36 veterans and their families experiencing homelessness. Serving Diverse Needs – Through these projects, the Foundation will expand its reach to serve a wide variety of Minnesotans, including youth in crisis, veterans living with PTSD and addiction, and single mothers and their children.

Military Sober Living Facility – We will complete the nation’s ﬁrst all-military sober living facility, Bravo Zulu House in Winnebago, MN, designed speciﬁcally to support veterans recovering from PTSD and substance-use challenges.

2024 CONTRIBUTORS The Housing First Minnesota Foundation, Lennar, and Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV) hosted a ribbon cutting celebration event to commemorate the completion of three new Housing for Heroes homes in partnerships between the three organizations.

This build project is the Foundation’s 14th Housing for Heroes project in the metro area and will provide much-needed housing for veteran families experiencing homelessness.
