Fast & Fabulous Cards

Ages 16+

These fast and fabulous cards will wow your recipients but only will take a short time to create. We will be making four cards in an hour! Each session will feature different cards, and all will include birthday, thank you, thinking of you, and a seasonal card. A variety of greetings are available to fit your needs.

Christmas in July Card Stock Up

Ages 16+

Do you find you don’t send out Christmas cards because you’re just too busy in December? Then it’s not too early to start thinking about Christmas cards! Want to send something special to your friends and family this holiday? Create 10 Christmas cards (2 each of 5 different designs). They will include a variety of quick and easy cards. We will be using rubber stamping, designer-patterned paper and plenty of embellishments to finish the cards. All supplies and envelopes included. A steal compared to card store prices!

Horsemanship for Adults

Ages 18+

Join in the fun at Dunham Woods Farm with beginning riding lessons! You’ll learn the proper ways to groom, tack, and handle horses. In the saddle, you will learn the basics of riding at the walk and trot. Riders should wear jeans or Jodhpur pants and hard-soled riding or hiking boots with a small, low heel. Tai Chi

Discover how the flowing and graceful movements of Tai Chi can reduce stress and anxiety, improve balance and body control, increase the feeling of peace and well-being, and promote health and healing. Women’s Self-Defense

Ages 13+

Be aware! Be empowered! Be safe! Identifying and avoiding dangerous situations and making safe choices will be discussed. Participants will learn how to use karate and kung fu techniques and objects in their environment as weapons to stop an attack. Attendees may participate in the class activities at their comfort level. Girls younger than 13 should be accompanied by an adult female.

Build Your Own Succulent Terrarium

Ages 18+

Beat the summer heat and join Melanie from We Grow Dreams Greenhouse in West Chicago to build low-maintenance succulent terrariums. Bring your own container or 8-inch fishbowls will be provided along with filling supplies and a variety of succulents to start your terrarium.

I Don’t Journal 2.5

Ages 18+

Develop your creative side. Learn new and different ways for creating expressive journals. Some of the techniques we will be using are word association, collaging, envelope creations, and mind mapping. This is a wonderfully creative path toward selfexpression and exploration. The material presented here supplements what was presented in the “I Don’t Journal” workshop, which is not a prerequisite for this session. Ages 21+

Join us for an evening of fun! The evening will include a buffet dinner from 5:45-6:30 pm and conclude with trivia from 6:30-7:30 pm. Those participating will need to form a team of 4 and prizes will be awarded to the winning team. Preregistration is required and the deadline is one week before the event date.
