Page 1

Our History

Bass is owned and operated by individuals with substantial insurance experience and whose expertise in their chosen area of operation is both known and well regarded by the insurance industry. Bass started with one location and one binding authority product and has grown to become a leader in the MGA space.

Over the last 30 years, we have developed specialized units within the E&S space to provide insurance product solutions to our agency base. We currently have 17 physical locations, 200 underwriters and over 15,000 retail agents.

As we have grown and developed the following divisions; Garage, Transportation, Environmental, Aviation and Contracting, we have always considered ourselves focused on underwriting profitability.

About our COMPANY

Bass has also invested very heavily in technology to assist in the distribution, management and analysis of product with RMS also purchased to run Property Modelling in-house with this under the management of an Actuary to ensure accurate output An investment made by very few MGA’s in the U.S., particularly amongst the Independent community

Bass will surpass $1B in written premium for 2025/2026. We remain committed to supporting the evolving needs of our carrier partners and agents as we set our sights on new milestones with a clear focus on reaching $1B and beyond Bass Underwriters, Inc was founded in 1994 by Edward Jackson in Plantation, Florida and has experienced an unrivaled growth trajectory, whilst maintaining their Independent status, with focus on underwriting profit above growth Bass operates as a nationwide Managing General Agency, with offices spanning from Los Angeles to New York City In 2024, these offices generated $850 million in Gross Written Premium The distribution consists of 80% commercial lines (55% CGL and 45% Property) and 20% personal lines and other smaller lines of business

OUR VISION OUR GOALS

In the ever-changing underwriting arena, the previous role of the wholesaler simply shipping risks off to various risk bearing entities is being replaced by the establishment of underwriting facilities that work in partnership with the production source. In spite of this symbiotic relationship, the key to underwriting success is to clearly separate the production role from the underwriting role This discipline, as established and managed by senior executives and our underwriting team is the key component to the success of the program.

As the market shifts, Bass continues to find ways to adapt to the changes We want to bring in partners who’s capacity can be fed into RPM2 and provide block (or blocks) of products they are wanting to wholesale through us

Alternately find facilities that we can feed submissions to through their own portal or submitted to an underwriter

Write profitable business for our partners using our technology and risk analysis data to quickly adapt to changes in the marketplace.
