I am often asked how I ended up running North America’s premier gifting service, a company that has been bringing people together since 1985. I guess you could say that I am a “born entrepreneur”, because I have wanted to own and operate my own business for as long as I can remember. This motivated me to closely observe my family’s food business growing up, and it led me to the Commerce program at Queen’s University followed by an MBA from the Harvard Business School. Along the way, I also worked in traditional financial jobs including investment banking, business consulting and private equity.

Upon the birth of my first child, I had an opportunity to step back and reflect on all of my experiences and all I had learned. It was then that I decided that I wanted to dedicate my life to a business that spreads happiness and joy. So, I began to search for a company that would meet this goal and I eventually found and acquired Baskits Inc. in 2014. It’s hard to believe that I have now been at the helm of this incredible company for nine years!

In addition to spreading happiness and joy, Baskits has helped me appreciate how important connection is and how few compelling avenues we have to connect, and to maintain our connections in special and meaningful ways. Whether it is with our family and friends, or with our business contacts, prospects, employees and customers, Baskits provides a wonderful solution for this. We make it quick and easy to "make their day". And while we proudly ship countless single gifts, we are experts in very large, complex orders shipping to multiple locations across Canada and the United States.
