Hello and welcome to the Baskits 2021/22 catalog! This year’s catalog is the culmination of a year of incredible challenges and amazing perseverance by our Baskits family, and I couldn’t be prouder of the result. Within these pages you will find some of the most beautiful and impactful gifts Baskits has ever produced, including excellent new products and designs that you just can’t find anywhere else. We are so excited for these gifts to start bringing the joy for which they were intended!

While this past year has been challenging for all, I am pleased to report that Baskits has used this time to improve our business in ways that will ultimately benefit our customers. We have acquired a fleet of branded delivery vehicles which will provide an even more elegant experience to our gift recipients. We upgraded our back-end technology to allow us to execute at an even higher level, particularly with large and complex orders. Most importantly, we acquired a new flagship operating facility & head office which will be our home for years to come.

In addition to our internal successes, I am also proud of our external recognition, including our second straight acknowledgement as one of Canada’s Top Growing Companies by The Globe and Mail’s Report on Business Magazine, recognition our whole team proudly shares.

Mary Macleod opened her bakery 40 years ago. She had just survived breast cancer, was newly divorced and needed to support herself. She was a passionate baker and would make treats for local food markets in the Yonge and Eglinton area of Toronto. Everyone loved her shortbread, so she took a brave step, opening Canada's first shortbread-only bakery under the marquee of the Capitol Theatre in Toronto and the rest is history.
