Greetings everyone!

Developing strong bonds and long lasting relationships has always been my top priority. I realised that it’s been over six months we have met in person.

So much has happened and it’s important to keep you in the loop. We have decided to launch our virtual monthly magazine named as the “Basant Journal”.

Here, we would like to share and keep you updated on the ongoing things and events, thus never losing the touch with you. Changing times needs changing thoughts and I always like to call Basant as a 21 year old ‘start-up’ for our hunger and thirst to outshine ourselves, be relevant with the changing times without losing Basant’s aesthetics.

Here is our first attempt at bringing Basant Journal to our community.

Iron Machine Inauguration An addition to the Basant machinery are the CNC metal machines in the metal manufacturing unit.

Basant now looks forward to a new metal division and category expansion of cabinets and cabinetry.

The ceremony took place with a small puja with the employees.

Upcoming Experiential Showroom Basant is coming up with an experiential furniture showroom for its Domestic and International buyers.

The 25,000 sqft space will showcase the brands’ latest collections and create a vibe where the buyers can get a real sense of being in a living, dining or even in a bedroom space.

Our Latest Collections (A) Zen: Everything is changing yet nothing is lost. The Zen collection is very much inspired by the Japanese way of living incorporating simplicity and functionality.

The pieces reflect the use of minimal resources and learning the art of coexisting, existing within nature. Mango wood with sustainable tatami screens brings lightness to the collection. The screens are made by traditional japanese technique of paper weaving and are climate, water and abrasion resistant.

(B) Brooklyn: Inspired by the urban landscape, modern architecture, waterfront buildings, our brooklyn collection pairs a minimalist silhouette with the rich texture of black marble and metal. Its iron frame is fitted with metal drawers and the work surface in marble for the masculine industrial look. The optional storage shelves and the chest houses study supplies and other tools no contemporary scholar can do without.

(C) Kairo: Whakairo is a Maori traditional art of carving in wood and stone.

The wood used for carving symbolism Tane, the god of forest. When carved it was considered to take on the properties of the figures it represented. This collection is a carved symbolism of our past, the form of carving is reminiscent of the initial symbols at the time of inception of all that we perceive to be true, of the forest before men.

A memory renewed by keeping the concept alive though the art of men. This collection brings together the elements of iron, wood and the art of carving as a coming together of universal, global and local under one umbrella.

New Zealand market for more than a decade and is now happy to present the brand to a newer clientele by means of a boundaryless digital platform at the ‘AIFF’ ‘20 virtual event i.e, Australian International Furniture Fair 2020.
