Second Fridays Presents: The Roots of Black Music in America Friday, Feb 12, 7 PM
Karlus Trapp leads a 100 year journey through time to hear, experience, and learn about the music of America’s black musical giants. This joyful and entertaining presentation comes alive through audience participation: singing, dancing, call and response, and even percussion playing.
Black History: Here & Now Monday, Feb 22, 7:30 PM
In collaboration with Courageous Community, BStrong Together, Be The Change Barrington, Barrington 220 District Equity Team, and the Peace & Justice Committee Hear from a panel of local people and organizations about current experiences of race in the Barrington area and how you can learn more. Q&A as time allows.

Each kit contains materials for a craft or project kids can do at home (with caregiver supervision). Register online and then stop by the Library to pick up your kit by Feb 19. Kits not picked up will be available on a first come, first served basis beginning Feb 20.

Use paint and stamping to create a unique heart-shaped puzzle that can be enjoyed again and again.
Grades K – 2: Pom Pom Picture Frame
Create a colorful picture frame for your favorite photo.
Grades 3 – 8: Styrofoam Printmaking
Learn the basics of printmaking and design your own art print with simple materials.
