Introduction “Western Sydney Race Pigeons” was formed in early 2008 under its primary internet name of “Hines & Grech Race Pigeons” as a way to promote our (Anthony Hines & Jason Grech) success, race pigeons, and to start new ventures in the sport we both enjoy participating in. However, we also created the website to promote and influence the younger generation to participate in our declining sport. Eventually in mid 2008, Jason expanded the pigeon based web site to distribute pigeon computer programs for all fanciers to download for free (refer to the „Download and Links” page). At this time the website was registered as an independent website (disassociating from Synthasite/Yola.com) and became part of most web search engines. It‟s also being advertised on the “Let’s Talk Pigeon Talk” internet forum, where Jason befriended Paul Fairweather. With over 210127+ visitors in over 65+ countries (last recorded in early April 2010), we‟ve proven that the website and the contents within is a highly successful Australian pigeon based website – and proud of it. The three team members soon became known to be as what we know it today as the “Western Sydney Race Pigeons” or “WSRP” as one year later Dennis Middling then joined the group, with many other Honorary Pigeons fanciers (Brad Rechenberg - QLD Representative, John Sowter, Wayne Miller, Greg Benny, Edgar Walkowski, and Justin Burns - Trainee) that most members associate with. Each member contributes their skills, talent and experiences to make this group highly respectful, professional and regarded to countless pigeon fanciers in Australia and around the world.
