R & B SEEDSMAN Due to relocation of Premises, the entire Family of Stock and Race Birds of R & B Seedsman will be Auctioned on Sunday 18th June 2006 This Family of Birds have been successful over a long period of time – competing in the strong Salisbury Club and the South Australian Homing Pigeon Association. In earlier years the family of Birds consisted of the successful Eitzen strain with Birds given to us by my Uncle – the late Ron Eitzen. These Birds were very successful in their own right and gained places within the S.A.H.P.A. Including 3rd SAHPA Nullabor, 5th SAHPA Nundroo, 6th SAHPA Booroorban S.A.D., 8th SAHPA Eucla, 12th SAHPA Coober Pedy, just to mention a few. With the advent of the Allen Goodger sale, we purchased Lots 204 – SA81 474 BCPC & Lot 131 SA78 1628 BCH along with birds bred for us by my cousin Graeme Eitzen from Lots 126 - SA81 477 BCPC & Lot 89 SA81 479 BCH also purchased from the A. Goodger Sale, and have been responsible for numerous places within the S.A.H.P.A including – 1st S.A.H.P.A. Emmdale, 1st SAHPA Booroorban, 1st SAHPA Inglewood, 2nd SAHPA Cobar, 2nd SAHPA Bathurst, 2nd SAHPA Glendambo – and the list goes on!

In 1991 I approached Grant Paterson and was given three Hens – all Goodger based Birds to enable us to further strengthen the Goodger Family. SA90 37811 BCPH Full Sister to 2nd & 4th SAHPA Mt. Gambier – SA90 37820 BBH inbred to Lot 59 (A Goodger Sale) & SA90 37814 BCPH – a Daughter of the famous Pt. Lincoln Cock.

These three Hens all bred S.A.H.P.A. places with SA90 37814 BCPH being outstanding, and I believe arguably one of the Best Hens to come out of the Grant Paterson Loft.

As you can see by the Catalogue the Majority of our Birds contain her Blood. In the main – the Birds have been Line Bred, and I purposely mated some of the Older Birds to maintain the Bloodlines for the benefit of the Purchaser. I feel that these Birds would be successful either by maintaining the same Line of Breeding or as a very successful out-Cross. The flyers who have flown our Birds with success are – G. Eitzen, R. Fewings, S. Alksne, C. Anstis (breeder of 1st V.H.A. Coonamble for the Harkom Brothers) – Bred down from a Hen we presented to him from the above Family of Birds, A. Vassilou – Ballarat, B. Watts – Horsham.
