Testimonial Noel started racing pigeons in the early 1980s, he was a foundation member of the Lockyer Racing Pigeon Club. LRPC was firstly affiliated with the Queensland Racing Pigeon Federation and in the early 1990s they joined the Toowoomba and District Pigeon Federation. It was here that I first met Noel. Noel’s first family of birds came from Les Barton and they were all Knoblauch Harrisons, which blood still runs through most of his birds today. Noel attended most sales spending considerable amounts of money always trying to improve his family of birds. He has tried most of the imports, but has found that the best cross was the old Brisbane blood and in the last few years he has had great success with the Goodgers and Vin Blanden blood as well as the Ince Stevens, Sweeney blood. Irrespective of price or pedigree if they did not perform they were culled. The TDPF flies in 6 different directions, our long points are Jerilderie, Broken Hill, Coopers Creek, Winton, Windorah, Morney, Kynuna, Charters Towers or Home Hill. These birds have been tested on all these directions and up to these race points. Noel was very passionate about the distance races where he had great success. Noel won quite a few outright Federation races and in 1996, 1997 and 2012 he achieved the ultimate goal of being the TDPF Federation flyer of the year. He was undoubtedly one of the best flyers in the LRPC and I feel confident buyers will have success with these birds.
