2012 Due to work I was only able to race a few club races before retiring and locking the birds up
2013 This year I thought I had it all under control and was preparing to race a full season but due to work commitments again I am moving and the birds have to go I started the season and raced as far as Morven and have now locked the birds down again preparing for the auction My results this year ‐ Jackson 355 klm 1st Club, 3rd section, 11th fed Roma 435 klm 1st Club, 2nd section, 11th fed Morven 605 klm 5th Club, 7th section, 15th fed
Since starting back I have been purchasing pigeons to improve the performance of my loft. I have sourced good pigeons from Brisbane to Melbourne and in‐between and now feel I have the stock to race competitively from the first fed race to the last. My wickham janssens as I call them are from Grenville Evans janssens with a cross of wickham but mainly janssen I have been crossing these with middle distance and distance birds Other breeds including meulamen, smelders‐ DeKlak, ABC, old Brisbane blood, morrison barker, Doug Ince, eatons, Colin Walker, booth barker, balfe, watson pied, van wanroy, goodger and scrumpie van loon all make up the mix of cross breeding I have used in my birds. The Silver Shadows have been a big success in my performance breeding programme as well as adding colour to the loft and the sweenies have thrown in toughness for the hard distance races I raced two one loft races in 2011 coming 17th Gympie one loft race with a Sweeney Goodger And 7th in the pigeon forum One Loft Race in Kyabram, Vic. Mark McKinnon last raced in 2007 and bred a few selected birds for others and as I had too many stock birds and could not use them all the birds have not been over used for stock. Even so there is no guarantee of fertility. I have gifted some of Marks birds back to him.
