This is a genuine sale as we are reducing two studs down to one. Adam has changed his job which has different hours and will limit his pigeon racing. After 45 years in the building industry my body has said enough and both Margaret and my self wish to be closer to our family. This move will enable me to race pigeons with Adam in 2013.

We have concentrated on the blood of two pigeons, namely the Red Chec Janssen Cock 476 “Red Voss”. Both Grandparents of this cock were bred in Janssen’s yard. The other pigeon is the Dark Chec Houben Hen known as “Ace’s Jewel”. Both these pigeons were imported by Blenhaven Stud which has had a major influence on our birds. We have always kept trying other strains of pigeons but have found the Janssen/Houben cross very reliable.

Graeme Jubb This line of pigeons have dominated sprint to middle distance racing in the QPF over the last 5 or so years mainly by J&J.Payne and more recently J.Caruana, A&R.Kitching and R&T.Bray. I’m only a novice flyer compared to these guys and what I have been able to do with these birds in the last few years is credit to the quality of these pigeons. Our pigeons are constantly taking prizes if not winning them. I know when we send our birds to these races we can rely on them to deliver and that’s exactly what they do.

We wouldn’t have these birds if wasn’t from our good friend John Hanson of Blenhaven Stud, he is a master at picking and pairing pigeons. This sale will give anybody the opportunity to buy birds that are super reliable on the day pigeons and would give any loft a boost. It will also allow me to fly birds with my Dad again.
