Some-finaboutsistersChrisandGill

Head of Quality and Clinical Governance Gill Feerick enlisted sister Chris to dive into shark-infested waters to raise money for Barnsley Hospital Charity.

Completely unprompted, the pair invested in shark costumes, sharing photos and a funny video of their antics with their family, friends and colleagues.

It paid huge dividends as the pair have already exceeded their fundraising target! Their bravery is helping a fantastic cause, and now you can join them.

Three spots are still available for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you’re ready to conquer your fears and make a real difference, sign up today!

Support Gill and Chris with their fundraising on the link above, or take the plunge yourself — because some risks are worth taking. For more information, call 01226 431650 or email barnsleyhospitalcharity@nhs.net

LegoWalk

Another charity first is walking on LEGO. In previous years we have walked on fire and glass and we always want to challenge our supporters with something new, so LEGO it was.

You can take part by raising a minimum of £25 and the event is open to all ages.

We are delighted to announce that this event is open to children from the age of five.

So why not get you and your family together and join us for our first event of 2025?

Charity Supporter Katie Saxton said:

“Myself, my six-year-old daughter Lilly-Mai, 12-yearold nephew Carter, and sister-in-law Becky are taking on the Lego walk to give back to the incredible breast department.

Both my mum and I have received care from them—my mum during her skin cancer diagnosis and myself after developing sepsis following my daughter’s birth.

The staff’s kindness, thoroughness, and support have been truly lifechanging.

This is our way of saying thank you and ensuring others receive the same outstanding care.”
