TheYHCRisadigitalsharedcarerecord solutionthatenablescitizeninformationfrom multiplesourcestobeaccessedsecurely.
Informationisupdatedinrealtimeandis availabletoappropriatehealthandcare professionalsatthepointofcare.Itprovides informationfromprimaryandsecondarycare aswellaslocalauthoritiesandsocialcare.

VirtualDesktopsGetaBoost
Newservershavebeeninstalledtoimprove theperformanceandreliabilityoftheVirtual DesktopInfrastructure(VDI)usedacrossthe Trust.
There’sbeenabigmovetoVDIin2024as teamsrealisethebenefitsthatVDIbrings, especiallythosewhoworkacrossdifferent areasthroughouttheday.
Fasterlogontimes. Accesstoalltheapplicationsyouneed.
Movebetweendevices,butkeepthe samesessionrunning. Flexibilityofdevices.Desktop,CoWand Laptopoptionsareavailable.
Theselatestupdatesenableustorunmorevirtualdesktopstomeetpeak demand,delivermoreperformanceforasmootherexperience,andhave enoughcapacitywhenweneedtotakeserversdownformaintenance.

Whilstfamiliar,ClinicalNarrativeisbuiltusing SystemC’snewwebfocuseddesigntools whichbringstogetheramodernlookand feelacrosstheEPR.
ImprovedImageHandling
Imagescanbeembeddedintonotes bydefaultwithnoneedtoattach separately.
Annotationisimprovedwithfullcontrol oversizeandcolourfortextandshapes. Layersmakeiteasiertohidinfomationif required.
Newfunctionalityenablesimagestobe embeddedintothenotes,withsignificant improvementstoannotation.
Deviceindependenceenables thesamenotetobeavailable acrossmultipledevicessuchas Vitalsandviaawebbrowser, allwiththesamefunctionality.

PowerBIfromMicrosoftisbeingfurtherintegratedintoourBusinessIntelligence processesacrosstheTrustascasesforitsusehavebecomemoreprominent
TheOutpatientsOperationalReportdemonstratestheinteractivecapabilitiesof
PowerBI,includingdate,specialtyand CBUfilters.Similarly,thedevelopment ofaWardQualityReport(originally basedonIRIS)displaysinsightsintothe qualityofcareoneachward,through relevantkeyperformanceindicators, suchaspressureulcersincidents,falls incidents,MUSTperformanceand nursingstaffing.
HealthcareInequalitiesReportshavebeendevelopedwithinPowerBIenabling analyticalandgeographicinsightsintoreferrals,missedoutpatient appointmentsandpatientinitiatedfollowupcare.
Inanothercase,statistical processcontrolchartsfor pressureulcersandfalls per1000beddaysthat werepreviouslydesigned andpublishedfrom MicrosoftExcel,arenow availablewithinPowerBI, allowingformore convenientaccessanda higherdegreeof interactivity.
SettingtheStandard
Aninternalguidehasbeen createdbytheBIteam, designatingbestpracticesforthe developmentofPowerBIreports andprovidingdirectionon differentmethodstocreate visualisationswithindashboards.

DragonMedicalOneispartofMicrosoftwhoareinvestinginspeechtoimprove accuracy,anddrivetheirnextlevelofAIforambientspeech.Thisenablesconversations tobesummarisedandpresentedindifferentclinicaldocuments.
TheobjectiveistominimisedisruptionbyintegratingDMOintoour currentworkflowwithCareFlowEPR Directentryispossible,but we’reassessingtakingdigitaldictationsandcovertthemtotext readyforentryintotherelevantforms.
We’llbeabletosharemoreinformationasweagree implementationtimelieswithVoiceTechnologies.
DigitalConsent
AddingtoourexistingInformDigitalLibrary,we areworkingwithEIDOHealthcaretoimplement theirDigitalConsentSuite.
EIDO’ssolutionhastheoptionofrecording consentintheclinicwithaConsultant,athome whilstreviewingaccompanyingdocuments,or onthedayofaprocedureifnecessary.
TheConsentSuiteisaboutinformedconsentand linksinwiththeexistinglibraryofpatient
informationtohelpthemunderstandtheprocedurethey’reabouttoundergo. Detailsontheimplementationwillfollowoncewe’veagreedwithEIDO.

We’reusingindustrystandard securitytoolstoachievethis,which feedsintoourdesiretogetall systemsaccessiblewiththesame logondetails.
Therearealsopracticalbenefits suchasassigningpermissions basedonroles,ensuringnew startersautomaticallygetaccess totheappstheyneed.

We’vestartedtomovee-FormfromouronsiteSharePointtoSharePointOnline whichishostedbyNHSMail.Thiskeepsusuptodatewiththelatesttechnologyand willenableustobuildnewtypeofe-Forms.
Asit’spartofNHSMailyou’llbeabletotakeadvantageoffilesharingandemail servicesthatarepartoftheMicrosoft365service.

WehaveimplementedourPatientPortaltosecurely sharedataandinteractwithpatientsdigitally.Patients canaccesstheirappointmentsandlettersatanytime, andservicescantrackactivityandengagement.
