When you hear the name Pride Media it probably doesn’t resonate with you quite the same as when you hear titles like The Advocate, OUT Magazine, Plus, OUTTraveler. For many in the queer community, these names call forth memories, but not just memories. They remind us of the pillars that helped us to build the foundations of our LGBTQ+ souls as we found our way out into the light. Pride Media is the name of the company that has guided the course of these publications for decades. To many of us, these were our only ties to a community beyond ourselves. For many a queer person today, who still feel trapped by family or fear, these remain the lifelines to sanity.
