Video Sale

This is a video sale. Bulls can be viewed at the Thackeray Farm prior to the sale. The sale will be held at the Goodwater Hall, east of the Thackeray Farm at 1:00 p.m.

Bulls Information

All bulls will be scrotal measured prior to the sale and a sale weight will be provided.

Delivery & Board

Following the sale, the bulls will remain at the Thackeray Farm until completion of breeding soundess evaluations. These should be completed sometime mid-March (weather permitting) and once cpmpleted, delivery of the bulls will begin. All bulls are free to stay at the Thackeray Farm until delivery. As good stewards, we will do our best to ensure the bulls are kept in a safe and healthy environment prior to delivery, however, we do recommend insurring your new bull purchase. We do ask that you work with us to coordinate the delivery of your new bull.

Red & Black Open Replacement Commercial Heifers on Offer

The open replacement heifers represent what we strive to do on the commercial side of things. They will all be at least 50% Gelbvieh. The heifers have been on the Phizer Gold program and are all up to date on their vaccinations. There will be five groups of three on offer.

Welcome From Thackeray Land & Cattle Welcome to the 2024 Thackeray Land and Cattle Bull Sale. We have seen a positive turn in the commercial calf market in the fall of 2023 and looks strong going into the new year. Prospects look good for the foreseeable future! The importance of quality bulls has proven to be a necessity in the beef business, and I think even more important in this high price market. Quality will always demand more dollars. This years bull offering has some of the same sires as previous years but also offers a few new exciting sires to choose from. They have been developed on a high fiber diet and have not been pushed. With this sale being early and most customers not needing their bulls till May or June or possible some later, we have plenty of time for the bulls to develop and grow at a reasonable pace. We look forward to talking to past customers as well as many new ones in next few weeks and will be able to answer any questions you may have. If you are unable to attend the sale, please don’t hesitate to call any of the sales staff with orders or questions on the offering. Legend is one of the show bulls and you will see why we chose to take him out! He is thick sought in his make up and has herd bull written all over him. The cross between 72F and 43G has certainly hit the mark. An awesome individual.
